Walking Around Ipoh
While you won’t be seeing many locals walking around, the old and new town area of Ipoh can be covered just by walking. Most of the main attractions in Ipoh are within walking distance around Ipoh’s new and old town.

Hop-On Hop-Off Bus (Weekends Only)
The Tourism Ministry of Ipoh introduced the Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) Bus in March 2019. The HOHO bus is an initiative to make it super easy for people to visit the key attractions in Ipoh. The bus operates only on the weekends and has 13 stops altogether.

The fares are slightly lower than the Kuala Lumpur and Penang’s Hop-On Hop-Off buses. Since it’s still in the beginning phase, the ticket prices are discounted as below:

Ever since Uber was bought over by its South East Asia competitor (Grab), Grab car drivers has widely increased in Ipoh. If you are planning to go further away from the Ipoh town, Grab is the perfect option for you. Hailing a Grab is also perfect for short distance trips around Ipoh town.
Hailing A Local Taxi
Although Grab is widely used in Ipoh, the local taxi in Ipoh are still on the roll.
When you could not find a driver on Grab, the local taxi is the option for you.
You may find local taxis lined up at main attraction spots and supermarkets.
Note that some taxis in Ipoh does not use a proper fare meter and charge extra for tourists. Just ask if the taxi is metered before taking one. If none, agree on a fare before entering the taxi.

- Once done, return the bicycle to any of the nearest stations and pull the lock manually to end the rental process
Renting a Car or Motorcycle

While myBas Route F100 and Hop On Hop Off routes are different, there are 2 stops which are identical in both routes.
Its the Ipoh Railway Station and Ipoh Parade Shopping Mall.
