IPOH, It was of great sadness to announce that Asia’s first animation theme park, Movie Animation Park Studio (MAPS Ipoh) has been officially shut down until further notice.
The theme park was in business for only 3 years until its closure notice was issued by the receiver and manager of Animation Theme Park Sdn Bhd (ATP) from Messrs Ernst & Young today.
Why The Closure
Despite many speculations by the netizens about the closure, it was believed that there were several reasons for the mismanagement of funds by some political figures for this project.
